The goal of ALMA is to design and develop a holistic AIOps module for the automated maintenance of a public-cloud environment. For this purpose, novel methods for aggregating different data sources are designed and a combination of rule-based and statistical methods as well as machine learning methods are implemented. Overall, this should enable the early detection of relevant performance anomalies and their automated root cause analysis. More...

CityBeamer

The EIT project CityBeamer will develop a platform to enable an easy introduction of micro-mobility providers to cities, unserved regions, and private venues. The project will also utilize distributed ledger technologies to ensure the truthful interplay of different companies in order to provide the mobility services. The openness of the platform enables shared use of services such as charging, maintenance, and responsibilities. More...

DISCO

The DISCO project intends to enhance interoperability between distributed ledgers without introducing intermediaries or economic assumptions. Currently, Smart Contracts are tightly coupled to their host Blockchain and inherit respective properties such as throughput, access model and system security. The project’s target is to loosen this strong dependency by enabling Smart Contract migrations between different Blockchain networks. Interconnected Smart Contracts may be distributed across multiple Blockchain networks due to varying technical or organisational requirements. The platform-independent operation of Smart Contracts is facilitated for the development process as well as on an operational level by providing verifiable information exchange between distinct Blockchain networks. IC4F - Industrial Communication for Factories is the flagship project with the goal of developing safe, robust, and real- time communication solutions for the manufacturing industry. By mid of 2020, 15 project partners from industry and research will develop a technology toolkit for a trustworthy infrastructure based on industrial information and communications technology (ICT). The project strives for an open architecture that extends across domains and allows a modular extension for new applications and communication technologies. In particular, the technology kit will enable users to select a specific migration path along with the right ICT technologies according to the new requirements in the scope of the industrial Internet / Industry 4.0. PROCEED

The PROCEED project intends to develop a distributed business process execution environment, without a central coordinator. The business process management system replaces the central one with a distributed execution unit with several, dynamically integrated devices. A process is then not executed in a centralized architecture, but separated on multiple systems. Such an approach can provide promising benefits, such as increasing reliability, integrating IoT devices, and improving privacy. More...

SSI4DE

With 5 consortial partners and 15 additional associate partners, the ambitious SSI4DE project is bringing Self Sovereign Identity to Germany with one goal in mind: Empowering the individuals to own and control their own digital identities. Funded by BMWi (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie), SSI4DE is creating the modern infrastructure for digital issuance of credentials from institutions and verifications of those credentials for service providers while giving the individuals the power to share which credentials they want to share with the service providers. SSI4DE is covering a vast amount of industries and sectors. Banking, eGovernment and student services are only few of the many areas, which the large cross disciplinary, multi-corporational and multi-institutional SSI4DE team is working on. Privacy by design, powered by distributed ledger technologies and keeping interoperability in mind, SSI4DE is technologically equipping Germany for the digital era. More...
