The goal of the work was to implement a Distributed Process Engine for the process execution of BPMN diagrams on Android. For this purpose, an engine was given from the project PROCEED, which was already completely implemented in JavaScript. The aim was to evaluate how most of this code could be reused on Android. Different possible solutions had to be compared: using a Node.js runtime on Android, or replacing the native code with Android-specific code and executing the JavaScript part in a WebView. The better solution had to be implemented.
