Bachelor Thesis: Monitoring and Logging in a distributed Business Process Exection
Monitoring and Logging in a distributed Business Process Exection
The goal of the thesis was to extend a given distributed Process
Execution Engine with management and monitoring functionality. The
student had to conduct a requirement analysis to determine which
information needs to be collected for controlling the system. A
concept had to be developed to show how to integrate the hardware
layer and multiple software components of the Engine to write/read log
messages, configuration and machine information.
The results were realized within the scope of the PROCEED project. The student implemented the necessary components with a special focus on the log system and the rotation of the log messages. It was shown that monitoring information can be accessed and used for managing a distributed Process Engine.
