Capability Management in a distributed Business Process Management System

Description:

The goal of this thesis was to semantically describe functionalities of IT/IoT systems, in the following also called "Capabilities", and to use them in a distributed process environment within BPMN script tasks. For this purpose, a schema encoded in JSON-LD was to be developed that specifies which ontologies and terms have to be used for the unique description. This schema should be interpretable in the given process engine and should be used to call the capabilities. The result should be worked out and evaluated on the basis of several use cases.
