User Management in a distributed Business Process Management System
Description:
The goal of the thesis was to research how resources – especially
human users – can be integrated into a decentralized Business
Process Management System. The student had to develop concepts for
managing, authenticating and authorizing resources. This was examined
within the domain of one company as well as for cooperations between
multiple businesses.
The results were realized within the scope
of the PROCEED project. The student implemented the necessary
components, installed server systems and integrated everything. It was
shown that a distributed process could be created, deployed and a
process participant had to authenticate before she was able to work on
her tasks.
