Bachelor Thesis: JavaScript-based Architecture of a platform-independent Business Process Execution Engine
Title:
JavaScript-based Architecture of a platform-independent Business Process Execution Engine
Description:
The Goal of the thesis was to create a concept and implement a platform-independent architecture of a JavaScript-based business process engine. The targeted systems were Android, iOS, Linux, Windows and Mac. It had to be examined how and with which frameworks a realization is possible. If a framework could not incorporate the predefined requirements, a concept had to extend the architecture with own components and interfaces.
The results were realized within the scope of the PROCEED project. Through the lack of completely platform-independent JavaScript frameworks for all mentioned platforms the student developed and implemented an own framework that supports the requirements. It was shown that the process engine with the new framework is executable in iOS, Linux, Windows and Mac.
