Integration of a Script Development Environment into a distributed Business Process Management System

Description:

The Goal of the thesis was to extend a given process modeling software with a programming environment for process script tasks. The student had to conduct a requirement analysis of the demands of a decentralized Business Process Management System. A concept had to compile an architecture of an IDE (Integrated Development Environment) that supports a process creator with developing JavaScript-based source code.
The results were realized within the scope of the PROCEED project. The student developed and implemented an IDE with multiple supporting components for script development. It was shown that a process creator is able to easily create a script task and deploy it within a decentralized Business Process Management System.
