Description:

The Goal of the thesis was to examine how workflow patterns can be utilized in a distributed environment with the help of actor systems. Different conceptional possibilities had to be analyzed and the possible realization had to be evaluated.
On the foundation of the theoretical work a demonstrator had to be created in Scala using the Akka-Framework that shows different possibilities of distributing a BPMN-based process execution.
