Bachelor Thesis: Separation of BPMN-based Process Models for a distributed Execution
Title:
Separation of BPMN-based Process Models for a distributed Execution
Description:
Business processes are used in companies to achieve certain goals. Business processes can either be executed by humans or machines or by a combination of those. The processes are usually visualized as models to have a consistent and homogeneous representation of those. The standard notation has been „BPMN“ („Business Process Model and Notation“) for many years now. The PROCEED project aims to execute BPMN-based processes on multiple Business Process Execution Engines in a decentralized environment. Therefore the modelled processes have to be separated. This thesis explored various approaches, compared them and evaluated on how to modify the process models to make a distributed execution possible. The approach that was considered as the most suitable one to reach the predefined requirements has been implemented.
