The goal of ALMA is to design and develop a holistic AIOps module for the automated maintenance of a public-cloud environment. For this purpose, novel methods for aggregating different data sources are designed and a combination of rule-based and statistical methods as well as machine learning methods are implemented. Crypto Sentiment Advisor


The goal of the EIT project Crypto Sentiment Advisor is to develop a real time sentiment analysis platform for the top 20 cryptocurrencies, so that investors can gain better insight into the current community mood. The sentiment is sourced from public online social communities such as Twitter and Reddit, where many users share their thoughts on current developments. More...


The DISCO project intends to enhance interoperability between distributed ledgers without introducing intermediaries or economic assumptions. Currently, Smart Contracts are tightly coupled to their host Blockchain and inherit respective properties such as throughput, access model and system security. The project’s target is to loosen this strong dependency by enabling Smart Contract migrations between different Blockchain networks. Interconnected Smart Contracts may be distributed across multiple Blockchain networks due to varying technical or organisational requirements. Freja is an EIT Digital project in the area of “Digital Wellbeing” to build robotic showers that support elderly and fragile people with their personal hygiene. The PROCEED project intends to develop a distributed business process execution environment, without a central coordinator. The business process management system replaces the central one with a distributed execution unit with several, dynamically integrated devices. A process is then not executed in a centralized architecture, but separated on multiple systems. The WALDO project is about finding the needle in the haystack. The “Widely Applicable Library for Detection of Outliers” is an EIT funded project, in which TU Berlin works in conjunction with industry leading project partners.

The key output of the project is an open-source framework to detect outliers in large datasets. The focus lies on state of the art machine learning techniques for anomaly detection, as well as custom tailored data visualisation. The project aims at facilitating the deployment, management and use of complex multi-cloud applications by integrating Network-as-a-Service, application deployment, service access management as well as end-to-end security solutions. Communicate Green


ComGreen is funded by the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie (BMWi) and aims to reduce the energy consumption in cellular networks. Context Data Cloud


The Context Data Cloud has been chosen as one of the most innovative IT projects in 2013 to be funded within the Software Campus initiative. It is a service enabler platform (run by a mobile network operator) that interconnects context providers, consumers as well as context-aware service developers for providing semantically enriched context-aware services. It is based on Linked Data and enables developers of context-aware services to easily realize innovative applications by making use of a set of novel interfaces (provided by the network operator). Curcuma has been chosen as one of the IT projects in 2014 to be funded within the Software Campus initiative. CUrCUMA (Cloud Computing Location Metadata) is a research project that aims at using location information and metadata structures within cloud computing environments to protect, enrich and structure files and access to information, objects and resources within dedicated containers and a client/server ecosystem. DIMS envisions a decentralized Pan-European platform for identity information in the digital age. It enables an identity solution with the power and trust of distributed ledger technology, the principles of self-sovereignty and in compliance with the relevant EU legislation. European service providers as well as European citizens will benefit from the integrated solution of the self-sovereign identity management system. On the one hand, to cut costs on how to use customer data to provide public services that will work across borders. On the other hand, for citizen to have a one-stop solution for their digital identity information. DIMS will support a regulated exchange of identity information among European service providers. eBiz (Business Information Zone) is an innovation action in the Exploration Area „Digital Finance“ funded by and in cooperation with partners of EIT Digital. IC4F - Industrial Communication for Factories is the flagship project with the goal of developing safe, robust, and real- time communication solutions for the manufacturing industry. By mid of 2020, 15 project partners from industry and research will develop a technology toolkit for a trustworthy infrastructure based on industrial information and communications technology (ICT). The project strives for an open architecture that extends across domains and allows a modular extension for new applications and communication technologies. In particular, the technology kit will enable users to select a specific migration path along with the right ICT technologies according to the new requirements in the scope of the industrial Internet / Industry 4.0. With IdentityChain, service providers like financial institutions will be able to provide their services to customers in a faster and cheaper way by verifying a customer's digital identity - as unforgeable proven by an attester - using a distributed identity management platform instead of running an own costly KYC process. With 5 consortial partners and 15 additional associate partners, the ambitious SSI4DE project is bringing Self Sovereign Identity to Germany with one goal in mind: Empowering the individuals to own and control their own digital identities. Funded by BMWi (Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Energie), SSI4DE is creating the modern infrastructure for digital issuance of credentials from institutions and verifications of those credentials for service providers while giving the individuals the power to share which credentials they want to share with the service providers. Within the DYNAMIC project, we developed the Android app TYDR to collect smartphone usage statistics and personality trait scores from users.
